Former Governor of Kogi state flees to Escape EFCC wrath

A source reported that the former Governor of Kogi State Abubakar Audu who was declared wanted by the EFCC has found his way to the United State. He was said to have arrived US on Wednesday via London.

The EFCC declared Audu wanted on Wednesday in connection with a case of N4billion theft during his reign as the Governor of Kogi State (from 1999 to 2003).

Audu was said to have ran the Governorship election on the platform of Action Congress Party in December 2011 (which he lost) despite this case.

The EFCC said Mr. Audu ran when some of its officials stormed his house to arrest him on Tuesday December 11

Some claims have also been made that Audu owns about three houses in Washington DC, Maryland and Connecticut.

RSIEC Announces Election dates in Rivers State.

Election into political offices for Ogba/Egbema Ndoni local Government Area of Rivers State will hold on march 2^nd 2013.

The chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission  (RSIEC), Professor Augustine Ahiauzu made the announcement while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Tuesday December 18^th 2012.

Professor Augustine disclosed that re-run election would also take place in Khana ward 17 and Oyigbo Ward 8, saying that there would be no primaries in these two wards because the election was cancelled and that the same persons who participated would be allowed to run. He also added that it would take place on February 23^rd 2013.

A woman sent out of flood camp because of HIV

An Idegene of Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State was sent out of the flood camp by the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru because she was tested positive to HIV.

All the people in the camp went through an HIV test to ascertain the nature of their health while living in the camp but amongst them all, only this woman was tested positive to HIV and was sent out.

After been sent out of the camp, the woman and her three kids started living in an uncompleted building where she died. Social Action in Rivers State are accusing  the Deputy Gov of killing the woman and thereby Sanctioning him for discriminating against people living with HIV/AIDS.

The Rivers State Government ended with the saying from now on, they will protect anybody living under the governance of Rivers State.

Chika Egbo Acid bath victim is dead.

 

Chika Egbo who was bathed with acid by her lover Suleiman in November this year is dead.

According to Vanguard, the student of the Enugu State College of Education died during the early hours of today, Thursday 21^st dec. at the Lagos State University of Technology Teaching Hospital where she was admitted after the acid bath.

Chika’s father, Mathew Egbo told Vanguard that Chika fell into comma at about 11:pm  yesterday night and she was placed on a life support machine before she finally died around 1:00am, this morning.

Nkiru Sylvanus and Kenneth Okolie Released

The Nigerian Actress Nkiru Sylvanus who was kidnapped some days ago in owerrialongside Ex Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie has been released. They were released on Thursday night by the kidnappers.

Before their release, their kidnappers contacted Nkiru’s family and friends and demanded for a ransome of N100m. just when Nkiru and Kenneth’s friends sent an open letter to the Inspector General of Police concerning their friends kindnap, their release was secured. it hasn’t been said for now if any ransom was paid to the kidnappers.

Pastor paid money to get a dead human head.

Iku Monday is a resident of Sabo in Abeokwuta, Ogun state. He has been in police detention for the digging up a woman’s corps from the grave and beheading her. It was said that Mr. Abiodun (the late woman’s husband) had hired Monday to clear his plot of land on the outskirt of sabo for free.

Mr. Abiodun had buried his wife who died during child birth complications on that same land. According to Sunday sun, the whole problem started when Mr. Akpan a resident there saw Monday beheading the corps of the dead woman and raised an alarm in the neighborhood, immediately everyone came out and surrounded Monday.

Kaduna swears in new Governor

Kaduna State took a new Governor on sunday(15/12/2012) as they swore in Alhaji Mukhtar Yero as their new Governor following the death of Patrick Yakowa yesterday in Bayelsa state.

The swearing in which took place at the Government House in Kaduna was witnessed by traditional rulers, Government officials and also member of the Executive council.

After he was sworn in, the new Governor of Kaduna state pledge to continue with the plans of transformation that was Yakowa had made.

“I sincerely desire to build on the good foundation that my boss had laid,’’ he said, adding that he would ‘’secure, unite and develop the state’’.

Finally I pray he does.

Six Bodies found after the helicopter crash.

It has been disclosed by the Nigerian Navy that after the search at the the helicopter crash scene yesterday in Okoloba community in Bayelsa State, 6 bodies were found and deposited at the FMC Yenagoa.

The Nigerian Navy has said they will do all they can to find the cause of the explosion in the helicopter.

The number of fans present at the show thrilled the multi-talented, award winning P-sqaure as they performed at the Rwanda-Amahoro Stadium in Kigali yesterday night together with with Uganda's Jose Chameleone. The concert was said to be the country’s ruling political party’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Psquare was said to have gone to Rwanda in their private jet. (correct guys).

Enugu State Governor is feard dead.

Sullivan Chime is feard dead. news got it yesterday that he died yesterday in an Indian hospital at about 9pm.
The Enugu state Governor, was said to have left the country for a very long time now to treat himself from an undisclosed illness which finally led to his death yesterday.

A correspondent from the PUNCH went to Chime's house but his phones and laptop were seized by the security men in the house inorder to prevent him from spreading information.

Kaduna State Governor and Azazi declared dead.

Another tragedy has befallen Nigeria as the Governor of Kaduna state Patrick Yakowa and Adrew Owoye Azazi  the former National Security advicer have died in a helicopter crash in Bayelsa state. the Governor who was said to be coming back from the funeral of the father of Douglas Oronto in Nembe. on their way back, the plane crashed into the creek and the helicopter got caught up in flames immediately.

The youths in around the area said they saw a flame from a distance and sent a search party to check what it was and when they got there, the saw the helicopter on flames.

Jim Iyke and Nadia visits an Orphanage in Uganda

The Naguru Reception Center in Uganda recently had two movie stars who came to merry with the kids at the orphanage. Jim Iyke and Nadia buhari who were on a charity tour were accompanied by Nadia's mum.
Naguru Reception Center is a place where orphans and abandoned children are kept and taken care of.

Jim Iyke while talking to the media said they are will throw a christmas party for the children at the orphanage so they too can have the feel of christmass and also feel loved.

Carniriv 2012 Street Parade

Governor of River State Rt, Hon Chigbuike Amaechi early this morning declared today a public holiday in port harcourt to enable people come out to watch the carniriv street parade that took place from 11am-5pm today. The Carnriv parade which took place today in port harcourt had caused a very terrible traffic along the aba road axis for as long as the parade was on.

Today is the 4th day of the carnival and tomorow is the grand finale.  Arrangements have been made for both foreign and local artist to come perform live tomorow in port harcourt.

Enebeli might have committed Suicide

Some days after the death of Nigerian Actor Enebeli Elebuwa who died in an Indian hospital, someone who claims he is a friend of Enebeli is saying he believes the Nollywood actor had committed suicide.

He said after Pete Eneh’s death, Enebeli contacted him and told him he was suffering, he needs a peaceful place and that his condition is getting worse each passing day. The friend said when he told him that on the phone, he travelled to India immediately to spend a month with him, the first day he got to India, he paid him a visit and Enebeli still went on asking him to tell the doctors that he needs a better place.

He left Enebeli and went to his hotel room only for him to hear the next morning that his friend had died.

 

Enebeli's body will arive Nigeria tomorow. For now, no burial arrangement has been made.

Mrs Okonjo released

Mrs Okonjo Iweala who was kidnapped five days back has been released this moring. Reports says she is now with the security operatives, and the Governor of Delta State Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan is going to Ogwashi-Ukwu community to receive the 82 years old queen.


The Okonjo Family is filled with Joy and they are very thankful to God almighty for the release of their queen and mother. They are also thanking the (president of the federal republic of Nigeria) President Goodluck Jonathan and also the security services for the support.

Jigawa State Governor said his son is not laundering money for him

Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has given a report about his son’s money laundering. Aminu the son of Jigawa state Governor was arrested by the EFCC at the Murtalla Mohammed Airport in Lagos on his way to Cairo. He was arrested for not declaring cash worth $40,000 in his possession.

A Man tries to kill himself over eye issue

The man in the picture above is Taofeek Muraina, a resident of Gunwin Akingbile, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo State. He is a 40 years old bricklayer who was born with one eye ball gorging out of its socket. Muraina said he has been with this eye problem all his life and as each day goes by, he feels like dying because of the way he is being treated in the society.

Mrs. Okonjo's Kidnappers are demanding N200m

 

 

 

 

 

Kidnappers are demanding N200m for the release of Mrs. Kamene Okonjo, wife of the traditional ruller of  Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State who was kidnapped on Monday. She is 83 years old.

According to the PUNCH,  the kidnappers demanded $1billion and after some negotiation was done, the price was reduced to N200m due to the fragile heart of Mrs. Okonjo.

The Delta State Police Commissioner gave his word during an interview held with him by the PUNCH that the detained Mrs. Okonjo will soon be rescued and that the police have rescued 30 other people in the past without paying any ransome. Mr. Ikechukwu (CoP) further  said they re putting up som strategies in place that will yield good dividends. (just as we've always heared).

Tiwa Banks Assulted

The Nigerian Tiwa Banks was on December 10, brutally abused by her landlord’s son (Tobi Obadina) who broke a bottle on her head, and also stabbed her. Tobi said Tiwa doesn’t greet him in the neigbouhood that’s why he intentionally injured her.

Tobi also stabbed Tiwa’s brother and neigbour who tried to stop him. Tiwa was rushed to the hospital on Sunday evening when it happened. And is still undergoing some treatment.

Miss UN Tourism won by a Nigerian

 

                                                          

On 9^th of Decemberr 2012, Miss Gbemisola Shontade wore the crown as Miss UN Tourism 2012 in Jamaica .

The Ogun state born Queen, and student of the university of lagos,  aged 21 was the 1^st runner up at the Miss UN beauty contest which gave her the crown of Miss Tourism. She also came up with the best costume as judged in the traditional section of the contest

Mike Adenuga donates 500million Naira to flood victims..

Hmmm... Mike Adenuga presented 500million Naira to the government of Bayelsa state for the support of the flood victims yesterday which was the 4th of Dec. If u re wispering to yourself say "see money" I dey see you oo.

The governor of bayelsa state Gov. Dickson received the money on behalf of the delegates that went to abuja with him on this mission. He also thanked Mr. Adenuga and promised that the money will be used for the reason it was given out for (I pray).

Victor Osuagu Set to Marry

It can't be tragedy all the way in Nollywood as victor Osuagwu has finally decided to tie the knot with his long time Fiancee this weekend. The date of the joining has been set for Saturday 8th Dec 2012.

Roseline is from Choba, Port hharcourt, Rivers state and the traditional marriage will be held @ her home town while the while the white wedding will take place at St. Pauls Anglican Cathedral in diobu, Port Harcourt.

The two have been living together for some years now  with four kids but has decided to make it official this weekend.

Enebeli Elebuwa Dead

 The famous Nigerian actor is dead. Information reaching me said he died during the early hours of today after he has been battling down with stroke for some months. He was aged 65.

Enebeli has been in a Nigerian hospital undergoing treatments but when the illness got worse he was flown to Delhi, India.

Just some weeks ago, he was said to be getting better when some indegenes from delta state that are based in Delhi city went to pay him a visit.

His death is really a shock to some of us who knew him... God please let it be well with Nigerian movie industry.

On the 29th of April 2012, most of us either by watching our TV's or by Listening to our radio or being there live witnessed the joining of Kate Middleton and Prince Williams. Yesterday it was announced by the St. James Palace that Kate is expecting a baby... (Beautiful new) the palace has advised that the pregnancy is still in its early stage and will require a lot of medical attension, so the 30-yrs old dutchess is to stay in the hospital to be properly taken care of untill she is certified fit to go home.

A lot of people has sent in their congratulatory message and mine is getting there too very soon. So what are you waiting for?
